Agency Grants

This year we awarded grants to seven community organizations who share our goals and whose work supports single senior women in need. All agency grants must be earmarked for female clients aged 65 and over. Below are our 2025 grantees:

ABCD North End/West End Senior Service Center: SWAN funds go towards supporting their meal programs, food pantry, case management, referrals, advocacy, and socialization activities.

Beacon Hill Village: SWAN funds go towards supporting their Membership Plus program which enables low-income senior women to have access to their program benefits including medical escorts, wellness and exercise programs, social and educational events, in-home services, and transportation.

ESAC: SWAN funds go towards their Senior Home Repair and Falls Prevention Program.

FriendshipWorks: SWAN funds go towards supporting their portfolio of elder programs including Friendly Visiting and Helping, Medical Escort, and Pet Pals.

HEARTH: SWAN funds go towards supporting their homelessness prevention efforts aimed at senior women and towards furniture for women already housed in HEARTH properties.

Rogerson Communities: SWAN funds will go towards establishing a monthly women’s lunch club that will provide an opportunity for socialization and learning in community with other senior women.

Women’s Lunch Place: SWAN funds support elderly female guests experiencing poverty, hunger and homelessness who access their day shelter, nutrition program, housing stabilization and other critical advocacy services.
